Games: Doom 3, Battlefield 2 u.v.m

Doom 3 - Demo erschienen Schon vor gut einer Woche wurde uns gesagt, dass die Demo zu Doom 3 in den nächsten Tagen released wird. Heute ist es geschehen. Die 461 MB grosse Demo steht bei den Kollegen von 3DGamers zum Download bereit. Die Probierversion enthält 3 Levels Namens Demo_mars_city1, Demo_mars_city2 und Demo_Mc_underground.

Battlefield 2 - Interview mit Lars Gustavsson
Im Zuge des Battlefield-Newsletters von Electronic Arts, wurde ein neues Interview mit Lars Gustavsson veröffentlicht. Lars Gustavsson, seinerseits Lead Designer bei EA Games sprach über Battlefield 2 im allgemeinen Sinne.

EAGAMES: How easy will it be for a Battlefield 1942 or Battlefield Vietnam player to jump into Battlefield 2 and play?

LARS: They say that you should never change a winning formula, but in our case we feel that there are still so many things that could take the Battlefield experience another step forward. If you have played any of the previous products there is no doubt that you will feel "at home” in Battlefield 2. We have tried to add additional layers of gameplay depth, instead of totally changing the experience. This means that you can play more or less as you did in Battlefield 1942 (with the addition of loads of new features like ducking in turrets, stabilized vehicle guns, new communication interface etc). But if you want to, you can go one step further and try a new game mode, join or even create a squad so that your gaming experience gradually grows until you sit there as the Commander to watch your troops conquer the world… Muhahaha!

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory - Sam, zeig uns deine Moves
Nachdem wir es nun längere Zeit ohne bewegtes Bildmaterial zu Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory aushalten mussten, gibt`s nun Nachschub. Ubisoft veröffentlichte ein Video, welches zwar schon länger als Download bereit steht, nun jedoch in deutlich besserer Qualität. Eine Auflösung von 720x468 Pixeln weist das Movie im Quicktime-Format auf. Gezeigt werden euch InGame-Szenen der Xbox-Version. Folgt also unserem Link und staunt!
