Core Temp ist ein kleines Programm, das die Kerntemperatur von CPUs ermitteln und anzeigen kann. Eine Installation ist nicht notwendig. Das Tool nutzt die Daten des "Digital Thermal Sensor" (DTS) aktueller CPUs von AMD und Intel.
Dies soll zu exakteren Angaben führen als die Überwachung der normalen Diodensensoren. Dadurch ist allerdings auch die Zahl der CPUs beschränkt, bei denen Core Temp die Temperatur ermitteln kann. Eine Liste aller unterstützten CPUs findet sich auf der

In
Version 0.99.4 haben die Entwickler zahlreiche Änderungen vorgenommen. So wurde eine komplett neue Codebasis geschaffen. Core Temp ist ab sofort sowohl als 32-Bit- als auch als 64-Bit-Version erhältlich. Des Weiteren wurden die Erkennung der Prozessoren verbessert, die Performance der Anwendung erhöht, das Logsystem überarbeitet sowie weitere technische Informationen hinzugefügt.
