Kerio Firewall4 Beta 4 released - Infos und Download inside

Eine der bekanntesten und auch sicherlich eine der besten Desktop-Firewalls wurde in einer neuen Beta-Version released.

Das sind die Änderungen in der aktuellen Beta-Version:
fixed several bugs on packet filter: rule creation, rule movement, groups
- fixed always on top for admin console
- fixed missing dialup numbers in trusted zones
- fixed logging in system security
- fixed configuration import/export
- fixed crash, when using large number of network rules
- fixed logging of NetBios
- fixed bug caused crash in conversion tool
- fixed processing ICMP protocol events
- default entries no more resets to their defaults in application table upon
startup
- packet filter rules were used in impropper order
- kpf now automatically permits update checker queries when using http proxy
- loopback entry in Trusted Area cannot be editted any more (it was useless
since loopback is alwas the same)
+ improved use of packet filter list (enabling/disabling, rule movement, added
directions, log, alert)
+ added IP groups to packet filter
+ improved stability to communication between gui and service
+ added tooltip statistics on the chart
+ redesigned main System security page
+ enabled stream support in driver (for testing - related functionality will be
added later)
+ added crashdump contents in assist.exe
+ possibility to enable/disable security modules (Network security, System
security, IDS)
+ improved importing - it is possible to import 2.x rules directly from KPF
Admin console
+ organization changes in config file may cause lost of several settings when
upgrading: "Enable network security", "Disable predefined network security",
"Stop Traffic", and some minor right click menu admin settings (port, address
resolving), rules stay unchanged!!
