Point of contact and reporting content (Digital Services Act)
In short
- Found an illegal comment or forum post? Report it here. No account needed.
- A human reviews every report quickly. You get a confirmation and our decision.
- Was your own post removed or your account blocked? You get a reason and you can object.
- Errors in an editorial article are not a DSA case. Please write to the editors.
- Authorities reach us through the same point of contact, in German or English.
Contents
1. Single point of contact
For authorities of EU member states, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services (Art. 11 DSA), and for users (Art. 12 DSA):
- Languages: German, English
- Replies come from people, not only from an automated system.
2. Report content
This covers user content: comments, forum posts, user names, profile pictures.
How to report: use the "Report" button on the comment , or email the point of contact.
Please include:
| Information | Why |
|---|---|
| The exact link (URL) of the post | So we can find it |
| Why the content is illegal, ideally naming the law | So we can assess it |
| Your name and email address | For questions and our reply. Not required for suspected child sexual abuse material |
| The statement: "I am convinced in good faith that the information in this notice is accurate and complete." | Required by Art. 16 (2) DSA |
What happens next:
- You get a confirmation of receipt by email if you gave an address.
- A member of our team reviews the report diligently, objectively and promptly.
- We tell you our decision and how to challenge it.
- The author of a reported post does not learn your name, unless it is needed because the report concerns their own rights. We ask you first.
Misuse: If someone repeatedly sends manifestly unfounded reports, we stop processing their reports for a period after a warning.
Back to contents3. If we remove your post or block your account
- what we did (post removed or held back, account blocked temporarily or permanently),
- which post it concerns,
- the facts behind the decision and whether a report triggered it,
- whether an automated filter was involved,
- which law or which rule of our terms of use was broken,
- how you can object (section 4).
We do not send reasons to pure spam accounts or where an authority forbids it.
Back to contents4. Objection
- Reply to the email within 6 months, or write to the point of contact.
- A different person reviews the case. If we were wrong, we reverse the measure.
- You can go to court at any time.
- You can also complain to the German Digital Services Coordinator, the Digital Services Coordination Office at the Bundesnetzagentur, Bonn (Section 14 DDG).
5. Not covered here
- Errors in editorial articles: email the editors at sk@
winfuture.de. We correct errors. - Right of reply (Gegendarstellung): in writing to the address in the legal notice.
- Privacy: see the privacy policy.
6. Threat to life or safety
If we learn of content that suggests a criminal offence threatening someone's life or safety, we inform the police immediately (Art. 18 DSA). In an emergency, call 112.
Back to contents7. Transparency
