Dieses Tool ist eine starke Firewall für Windows, die nunmehr ein kleines Programm-Update erhielt.
Für den Home-User bietet eine Personal Firewall sicher einen vernünftigen und im Zusammenspiel mit einem aktuellen Virenschutzprogramm auch einen ausreichenden Schutz - kostenlose Varianten sind die WindowsXP eigene Firewall oder zB die kostenlose Variante von ZoneAlarm.

Das sind die Programm-Features:
enhanced packet filter - define unlimited number of protocols, services, address groups, time intervals, etc.
firewall can be configured by simply permitting or denying communication to applications - suitable for beginners and less experienced users who do not want to use the advanced packet filter
Intrusion Detection System
System Security - applications on the desktop protected against being rewritten, modified or misused by other applications, etc.
HTTP (web) content filtering - blocking of ads, popup windows, scripts etc.
new status reports in the administration Window - traffic chart, connections, etc.
many enhancements in performance and load on the memory, especially in the kernel part of the engine
Das ist neu in dieser Build:
- fixed problems with firewire adapters when they were disabled or computer was
hibernated
- fixed bug that rules for some application didn't work o fixed conflicts with
some other software's kernel drivers (like InCD, VitalAgent, ProtectCD, etc).
Also known as NO_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS bug.
- IDS no longer detects and drops attacks when user disables firewall
- KPF's IDS ruleset was revised
- fixed bug when connection to closed port was sometimes logged as Kerio VPN
