Microsoft: DirectX10 mit Windows XP? Keine Chance.
Ich bin auch total der Ueberzeugung das Windows Vista einfach nicht den versprochenen Speed Aufschwung schafft. Ich habe ein Core Duo 2 Notebook mit 2GB RAM und nVidia GeForce 7800 GTX mit 512MB-RAM und unter Windows Vista, wenn's denn ueberhaupt geht, ist das gleiche Spiel deutlich langsahmer als unter Windows XP auf dem selben PC. C&C3 kann ich unter XP auf voller Aufloesung mit 1920x1280 spielen aber in Windows Vista laeuft das ganze nur auf 1600x1200 richtig. Es ist ein neues Spiel und mann sieht dennoch einfach die Speed Unterschiede. Zudem kommt hinzu das meine Blu-Ray Filme unter XP perfekt laufen und unter Vista staendig Audio verzoegerungsprobleme haben. Brennprobleme auf Blu-Ray Scheiben habe ich auch mit Vista. Das beste zum schluss, Vista schmiert immer ab und zeigt einen bluescreen wenn ich versuche aeltere openGL Spiele zu spielen. Vista ist momentan einfach nur schrott und erinnert mich an XP frueher. Nach knapp 7 Jahren, merkt man aber schon das XP einfach mit allem relativ gut funktioniert. GO XP and GO DX10 on XP...

Vista: Entwickler fordern Tester zur Aktivierung auf
I installed the beta 2 at the same night as it was available and updated successfully my Windows XP Professional. After updating my system I lost my DVD-Dual Layer drive and I didn't manage to get that damn thing to work. I was so mad that I reinstalled my entire Windows XP that same night. Secondly, I didn't like the give fact that the anoying Windows Explorer wouldn't memorize my layout and reset itself everytime I relaunched it. Another thing I didn't like was the stupid security stuff that they implemented. It is kinda cool that the system is finally worried about severe steps but at the same time it made me crazy that it was asking for my permission every second thing that I did. Last, I didn't like the issue about not being able to log on as Administrator and to change the logon settings to secured network logon. Generally speaking I was mostly disappointed from this release and I do hope that the further releases get better. Even downloading the beta was quiet a challenge!
