Azureus/Vuze 4.5.0.4 - Java-basierter Torrent-Client

Azureus / Vuze ist ein Java-basierter, plattform- übergreifend funktionierender BitTorrent-Client, der wegen seiner anwenderfreundlichen Benutzeroberfläche gelobt wird. Die Software eignet sich vor allem für den Download von Videos.

Diese lassen sich konvertieren und für bestimmte Endgeräte anpassen. Die Software bietet neben der normalen Filesharing-Funktionalität eine Plattform zum Austausch nicht geschützter Audio- und Video-Dateien. Bekannt ist sie auch für ihr umfangreiches Plugin-System, mit dem sie beliebig erweitert werden kann. Eine Erweiterung versucht zum Beispiel, die Übertragungsgeschwindigkeit durch die Auswahl örtlich benachbarter Quellen zu erhöhen.


Ab sofort steht Azureus / Vuze 4.5.0.4 zum Download bereit. Die Entwickler haben hauptsächlich Bugs beseitigt, aber man macht den Betatestern das Leben auch etwas leichter, indem eine Seitenleiste hinzugefügt wurde, die eines Tages nützliche Informationen zum Testen beinhalten soll.
