BitComet ist ein Peer-to-Peer Filesharing-Client, der mit BitTorrent kompatibel ist und eine Reihe von positiven Eigenschaften mit sich bringt. Das BitTorrent-Netzwerk ist speziell für die schnelle Verteilung von Dateien mit einer Größe zwischen 100 Megabyte und einem Gigabyte ausgerichtet.

Dieser Client unterstützt mehrere gleichzeitige Downloads, Download-Queues, Fast-Resume und das Herunterladen von bestimmten Teilen eines Paketes. Das Programm hat auch eine Chatfunktion und einen IP-Filter.
