Lonestar im Windows XP Service Pack 2
Hello Everyone,
Lonestar has been integrated into Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). We are in the process of giving all Lonestar alpha customers access to the SP2 beta. Starting with the NEXT build of SP2 that gets posted to BetaPlace, you will get Lonestar features installed along with the security updates and other fixes that are part of the service pack.
We will post in this newsgroup once this new integrated build is available for download. The SP2 beta build (2055) does NOT include Lonestar features.
If you have the Lonestar alpha installed, you must uninstall it before installing any build of SP2.
For end user issues with Lonestar and Service Pack 2, we are creating a new newsgroup in the SP2 beta program:
microsoft.beta.xpsp2.tabletpc.
Developers: The Lonestar beta program will continue to be used for the Lonestar SDK and developer issues.
Thank you for assisting us in improving Windows XP Tablet PC Edition!
Also just a little advice if you are trying to install the current build of Windows XP Service Pack 2 will not install on Media Center Edition.
